Who better to learn from than musicians, producers and technical experts from companies such as Ableton, Apple, Soundcloud or Native Instruments? CDR Knowledge events offer that chance whenever they pop-up in “big white spaces” dealing with the hands-on technical side of music making, the projects in progress.
Each CDR Knowledge is themed differently to bring a range of the latest software and/or gizmos to explore. Apps for mobile devices have recently come to the fore, with Korg’s iElectribe and iMS20, Vogel CMI App, Beatmaker2, Lemur, Animoog, Korg iMS20, iMaschine, Fingerlab’s DM1, and FL Studio Mobile all featuring at iOS-focused events. A vault of analogue delights has also surfaced from time to time including Roland 808s, 909s, Akai MPCs and more synths than you can shake a conductor’s baton at.
